The Luckenbooth is a Scottish Symbol, where the Heart is for Love, the Crown is for Loyalty, (like on the Irish Claddagh), but the M is for Mary, Queen of Scots. There is another version of the Luckenbooth, where instead of the M, there is a Thistle (The National Flower of Scotland).
Proudly show off your Scottish Heritage by wearing this Luckenbooth Brooch on a coat, scarf or bag. Alternatively put it on a chain (there is a handy hoop on the back) and wear it as a necklace.

Dating to to about 600 AD, we photographed this Ogham stone in Kilmalkedar Church, on the Dingle peninsular, in Co. Kerry. on our last trip to Ireland. The ogham carving reads "ẠṆM MẠỊLE-INBIR/ MACI BROCANN" - "Name of Máel-Inbher son of Broccán"
