The Luckenbooth is a Scottish Symbol, with the Heart for Love, the Crown for Loyalty, (like on the Irish Claddagh), and a Thistle (National Flower of Scotland and a symbol for Scotland).
There is another version of the Luckenbooth, where the Thistle is replaced with the letter M (for Mary, Queen of Scots).

Dating to to about 600 AD, we photographed this Ogham stone in Kilmalkedar Church, on the Dingle peninsular, in Co. Kerry. on our last trip to Ireland. The ogham carving reads "ẠṆM MẠỊLE-INBIR/ MACI BROCANN" - "Name of Máel-Inbher son of Broccán"
