This beautiful Sterling Silver Harp necklace was hand crafted in Ireland. This Harp pendant features an elongated Trinity Knot along the “Soundbox” of the harp, and is double-sided, so even it turns around on you, it will still look just as elegant.

The Irish Harp has been an important symbol in Ireland for centuries. It is the National Emblem of Ireland and is on the Presidential Seal, Euro Coins, the old Irish Flag, and of course the Guinness logo, to name but a few.

The harp has long been held in high regard in Ireland, and it is said Brian Boru, the High King of Ireland (10th century) was a skilful harpist.

A medieval harp, the oldest one in Ireland, is housed in the Long Room of Trinity College, Dublin.  By the way, the Long Room itself, is an impressive sight.  It holds 200,000 of the library's oldest books.
