Your name in Ogham Script and Irish Gaelic.

Perhaps the oldest written script of the Irish people, Ogham has roots in the first century BC, and flourished throughout Ireland in the 5th and 6th centuries. Ogham was first carved along the edge of a stone, which formed the central stemline, along which each letter is read from the bottom upwards. The ogham alphabet originally consisted of 20 letters, each one perhaps based upon the name of a tree.

The vast majority of the inscriptions consist of personal names, with the highest concentration by far to be found in the southwestern Irish province of Munster.

Measuring 5 inch by 7 inches, your Ogham blessing uses a custom font, designed by us, that emulates brush strokes on the page. The paper is 100% Acid and Lignin Free, the matts are made from museum quality board, and the chromalife inks maintain their quality for up to 300 years.
