These Triskele Studs are delightful! They are made from Stainless Steel, so they will retain their shine without polishing (I love that too).

The Triskele symbol (also known as the Triskelion), is composed of three interlocked spirals. It is believed to be one of the oldest Irish symbols, and is carved into the stones (rocks) of Newgrange. Newgrange is a Stone Age passage tomb in County Meath, Ireland, dating back to approximately 3200 BC. This means that Newgrange is older than Stonehenge and the Egyptian Pyramids!

As this was before written language in Ireland, we do not have a handy little reference sheet with meanings of all the Celtic Symbols. There are a lot of different interpretations such as Life, Death, and Rebirth; Earth, Sea and Sky; Past, Present and Future. Probably the most popular interpretation is of The Mother Goddess - Maiden, Mother and Crone (wise old woman).

Design elements of these Shamrock post earrings are:

  • 316L Stainless Steel
  • Approx 3/8” tall
  • Approx 3/8” wide

Testimonials

"My family and I found this place by accident. We love it. They were even great about a phone order. It's two hours away but stop in when in the area."
