As you know the modern interpretation of the trinity is that of the Blessed Trinity. A delightful take on the usual design of the Trinity, this brooch is composed of no less than three (3) trinities “stacked” within each other.

As you know the number three (3) was very important to the early Celts, but unfortunately they did not leave us a handy little list of the meaning of each Celtic Knot. Interpretations include earth, sea, sky; life, death, rebirth; earth, fire, water; etc. Choose whichever meaning you prefer, or just look at how pretty it is!

Note, this Trinity has a bail attached to the back, so it can also be worn as a pendant!

Design features of this Celtic Brooch are:

  • Sterling silver over lead-free pewter
  • Stem and clutch closure
  • Attached bail on back
  • Approx: 1 1/2" long
  • Approx: 1 1/2" wide

An example of Ogham

Dating to to about 600 AD, we photographed this Ogham stone in Kilmalkedar Church, on the Dingle peninsular, in Co. Kerry. on our last trip to Ireland. The ogham carving reads "ẠṆM MẠỊLE-INBIR/ MACI BROCANN" - "Name of Máel-Inbher son of Broccán"

Testimonials

"Evleen (spelling might be incorrect) was amazing. She being from Ireland, her husband from Scotland [sic ... Wales] are authentic in both Celtic apparel and the history of why & how authentic Celt apparel and accessories are worn.
Celt Wares was my best experience in customer service and the care of fitting me out in my new full Celtic apparel from kilt all the way to my hose."
What an amazing experience! Celt Wares, though several hours from my home, is "my" Celtic store (in person or online). Thank you again, Evleen!"
