The Trinity Knot is the best known of the Celtic Knots. Celtic Knots entwine back upon themselves (like a wedding ring) and therefore represent forevermore, eternity, etc.
The modern interpretation of the Trinity Ring is of the Blessed Trinity (The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit (or Holy Ghost). This is partly why the trinity symbol is so popular today. There are however many alternative interpretations, the most popular of which symbolizes the Mother Goddess. You see the Celts also had a Triune God, but it was female and represented the three stages of womanhood i.e. The Maiden, The Mother and The Crone (Wise Old Woman). The Triskele (Triple Spiral / Triskelion) is also identified with the Mother Goddess, and in truth is a more popular representation. However, the Triskele also has many interpretations. The trouble is, that these designs were created before written language, and so we have no way of knowing for sure what they originally meant!
This Stainless Steel ring is sturdy and does not need polishing (unlike Silver). The rings come in two different height measurements - sizes 6 to 10 are ½” high, while sizes 11 to 13 are a little bigger at 5/8” high.
