Burns Night at Historic Beale Manor
February 5, 2022Calling all Scots (and anyone else interested in having a night to remember) to Come Celebrate the life and poetry of Robert Burns! Scotland’s most famous poet and songwriter Robbie Burns, is remembered in style at the Historic Beale Manor.This is going to be a great night of festivities including Pipers, a traditional haggis ceremony (including a toast of Scotch), a delicious supper (including traditional Scottish dishes such as smoked salmon, haggis, cock-a-leekie soup, neeps and tatties, salad and shortbread). During this feast we will be enjoy the soothing sounds of the Harp with a performance by Kendrah Absher. After supper the life of “Rabbie” Burns will be celebrated with readings of his work, speeches and toasts, and Charlie Zahm will perform his captivating "A Tribute to Robert Burns". Rounding off the evening with an old fashioned sing-along, guests gather around the piano to sing the songs of Robbie Burns, including his most famous work Auld Lang Syne. |
